NCBE = National Conference of Bar Examiners – they develop the UBE, MBE, MEE AND MPT

BOLE, BLE = Board of Law Examiners – administer the bar exam and license attorneys in each jurisdiction after you apply and pass the character and fitness investigation

UBE – Uniform Bar Exam (administered in approximately 40 jurisdictions as of July 2021)

MBE – Multi-state Bar Exam – The 200 question Multiple Choice section of the UBE. Covers 7 subject areas. Administered on the last Tuesday of Feb. & July in all but 2 jurisdictions (Puerto Rico & Louisiana).

MEE – Multistate Essay Exam – 6 Essays on the UBE; 30 minutes each, single subject

MPT – Multistate Performance Test – 2 MPTs; 90 minutes each

MPRE = Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam

– 60 Multiple Choice questions
